HELL and Mr Fudge

If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with the assurance that God is love.

This week’s review is for the film, HELL and Mr fudge.

Description

Belief in hell, immortality, and the love of God are all called into question in this award-winning feature film. Based on the life of Edward Fudge, it is a warm, thoughtful and inspiring story of one man's persistent pursuit of truth – and his courage to stand for what he believed.

I chose to buy this film as I just knew it was going to be excellent.  I have been meaning to review it for some time, but God’s timing is perfect.

I was not aware who Edward Fudge was, but am very thankful to the Lord for his calling and Edward’s diligent work, for God’s glory.

In addition to Edward’s quest to reveal the truth about the teaching of hell, we see Edward’s everyday life depicted in his homelife, friendships, college years and marriage.  The various relationships were touching to watch.  A strong and loving Christian father, a loyal and honest best friend, courageous Christian mentors at his college and a loving, devoted wife.

I watched a short clip of the real life Mr and Mrs Edward Fudge commenting how wonderful they thought the film was.  It truly is a blessed film.

Apart from the obvious, there were so many lessons in this film, and one of the things I was reminded of is that God has kept things simple.  If Jesus said, Assuredly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God as a little child will by no means enter it.” Luke 18:17, then the vital things we are to learn would need to be simple enough for a child to understand.  In our sinful nature, we overcomplicate things or even worse, add what God has not said.

HELL and Mr Fudge reminds us of the simple message our Heavenly Father has for us about His loving Kingdom.  Thank the Lord for John 3:16, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

I watched HELL and Mr Fudge via LLT Production’s website where you can rent or buy it.

Thank you for reading this review.  Until next time, peace be with you.

Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; 20 you were bought at a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.
