Review: 7th Street Theater (Episode: Closed - Part 4)

If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with the abundance of grace from our Lord.

This week’s review is for part four of the 7th Street Theater episode, Closed, produced by Dave Christiano. Part four is the last episode of, Closed.

7th Street Theater is a drama series about five Christian actors who perform a weekly stage show for their community. There are 3 Seasons in the series and a total of 64 episodes.

Description

Ticket sales continue to decline which will force the theater to close!

As John and Charles Wesley experienced miracles within their ministry, so do the cast of 7th Street Theater. But before miracles occur, we have questions, doubts, issues of trust in the Lord, even depression. Episode four contained lines such as, “What are we going to do about it?“ Why does God make things so hard?” In the previous podcast, I read Psalm 46, which is about putting our trust in the Lord, no matter what is going on. Psalm 20 is about putting our trust in the Lord, and not people. Proverbs 3:5-6 says, Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; 6 in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.

God’s Word is full of powerful promises to get us through the trials in this world - we just have to put our pride aside and rely on the word of God - no matter how bad things seem.

I like how one of the characters, I think it was Rudy, said, “When the Lord makes a move, He makes a move!” God’s answers are always bigger than our solutions! Praise the Lord!

Closed reminds us that we are in the height of a spiritual battle and the only way to keep strong is to keep our eyes on the Lord, especially in times of uncertainty. It reminds me of what Jehoshaphat said during his battle against Moab and Ammon.

Our God, will you not judge them? For we have no power to face this vast army that is attacking us. We do not know what to do, but our eyes are on you.” 2 Chronicles 20:12.

I am reminded how Charles and John Wesley helped one another keep their eyes on the Lord, through His word and prayer.

My prayer for all the saints of the Lord is that by God’s grace, we keep our eyes on the Lord, at all times. This I pray, in Jesus’ name. Amen.

I watched, Closed Part 4, on the Christian Movies YouTube Channel.

Thank you for reading this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
