Review: Praise Him Now Special (#5)
If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with the comfort that God will direct our paths, if we put our trust in Him.
This week’s review is for the program Praise Him Now, which has special editions. This review is for special edition number five.
The Bible is full of examples of music. Ephesians 5:15-21 says, Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. 18 And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, 19 addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, 20 giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, 21 submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.
Colossians 3:16 says, Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.
God created music for us, so that we could praise Him through it. Praise Him Now is a wonderful example of honouring God with the talents He has given His creation. Ryan Day and Tim Parton’s voices and Tim’s piano playing are such a good match and their conversations about how God is instrumental in their lives, is a blessing to those listening in.
I have watched all of their specials, and number 5 is my favourite as it starts with the powerful song, Days of Elijah and contains an inspiring reflection and testimony from Tim Parton, which I never get tired of hearing.
This program is a testament to all of us to use the talents God has given us, to His glory and what a diversity of talents He has blessed us with, to honour Him and contribute to His work here on earth. Praise the Lord!
Praise Him now can be accessed free on YouTube, via the 3ABN Praise Him Now Music channel. I really enjoy having it on in the background while I am working with ministry tasks or chores - either way, it’s a blessing to hear!
I’m excited at the thought of you experiencing this wonderful moment of worship. To God be the glory, in Jesus’ name.
Thank you for reading this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
