Short Film Review: Christian?

If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with great thirst for the Word of God.

This week’s review is for the short film, Christian? by James Dylan Brown.

There is no description for this short film, however, there were several quotes from the Bible that I would like to read.

Whoever says, “I know him,” but does not do what he commands is a liar, and the truth is not in that person. 5 But if anyone obeys his word, love for God is truly made complete in them. This is how we know we are in him: 6 Whoever claims to live in him must live as Jesus did. 1 John 2:4-6

Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. Matthew 22:37.

This short film focuses on what defines a Christian.

Is it going to church every week?

Helping homeless people?

Growing up in a household of church goers?

Praying for meals each day?

Etc.

Is there such thing as a good person or a good Christian?

A Christian character in the film said he wanted out of life what everybody else wanted, then proceeded to list worldly desires.

Christian? warns against lukewarm faith and points to the Word of God as our guide and authority.  The film has a simple format so that Jesus can be the focal point.

I watched, Christian? on James Dylan Brown’s YouTube channel.

Thank you reading this review.  Until next time - peace be with you.
