Discover how Jordan Rubin's faith-based journey from near death to vital health led him to uncover the timeless principles of the world's healthiest people. By following The Maker's Diet, your health dreams can become a reality.

This book is certainly thorough in regards to the background that led Jordan Rubin to go to the Bible, in order to save his life. If you are already educated on healthy foods and a bit impatient, like me, you might feel the extensive background information is a bit of an overload and sometimes repetitive. However, the background information is needed in order to prove why we should stick to a biblical diet . Rubin does an excellent job in describing why we need to adhere to the foods God has created and how man-made food negatively impacts our health.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear the mention of a book I have in my library, Nourishing Traditions. Nourishing Traditions educated me a lot on the importance of real butter and good fats.

I must admit though, I was very happy to finally get to the chapter that described the 40 day diet plan. This chapter really shows how much variety God has made for us and has motivated me to recommit to a bible-based only diet.

For practicalities of the list of foods, it would have been better to buy the physical book. I decided to buy the kindle version of The Maker's Diet Meals: Biblically-Inspired Delicious and Nutritious Recipes for the Entire Family (Jordan Rubin, Josh Axe, Deborah Williams). Between writing notes from chapter fourteen of the Maker’s Diet book and using the recipe book, I should have a good amount of meal ideas for when I finish the 40 day diet plan.

My 40 day diet pan starts in two days. which means I will be able to do a follow-up review for the book review in November.

I am very excited. I think it’s always exciting when we choose to move nearer to God, and The Maker’s Diet is a practical application of the diet knowledge God gives us in His word.

Thank you for reading this review.

Until next time, God’s peace be with you.
