Film Review: Joni
She was young, vital, just 17 when it happened. A diving accident snapped her neck and left her paralyzed. The months that followed were filled with great physical, emotional and spiritual struggles for Joni Eareckson. Joni portrays herself in this recreation of her joys and sorrows, her fears and victories, and above all, her faith in the wisdom of a loving Heavenly Father.

Hello everyone, if you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with faith in the Bible truth.
This week’s review is for the film, Joni.
Description
She was young, vital, just 17 when it happened. A diving accident snapped her neck and left her paralyzed. The months that followed were filled with great physical, emotional and spiritual struggles for Joni Eareckson. Joni portrays herself in this recreation of her joys and sorrows, her fears and victories, and above all, her faith in the wisdom of a loving Heavenly Father.
This film had flashed across my screen several times, while I was searching for material to review. I thought it too sad at the time. However, the last time I came across it, I thought that it might be God’s timing for me to watch it.
The film, Joni, is an amazing testimony that leaves you in awe of the goodness of God. Both the film and the book are filled with scripture verses that gave Joni hope and confirmed God’s character, through His Son, Jesus Christ.
Both the book and the film are a blessed experience and I thank the Lord. for sustaining those who seek Him earnestly.
It would be tempting to say more, but I will let Joni’s testimony speak for itself.

Thank you for reading this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
