If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with God’s Word - the Bible.

This week’s review is for a film based on The Book of Daniel.

Description

The Book of Daniel: Taken into slavery after the fall of Jerusalem in 605 B.C., Daniel (Robert Miano) is forced to serve the most powerful king in the world, King Nebuchadnezzar. Faced with imminent death, Daniel proves himself a trusted Advisor and is placed among the king's wise men. Threatened by death at every turn Daniel never ceases to serve the king until he is forced to choose between serving the king or honoring God. With his life at stake, Daniel has nothing but his faith to stand between him and the lions den.

I will able to watch the film, but funnily enough, when I went back into the link a few days later, the film had been taken down from YouTube. As I don’t have access to PureFlix, I feel blessed that I was able to watch this film on YouTube, a short time after a good friend recommended it to me. Praise the Lord! I can put the link for the trailer in the info section.

This film followed the account of Daniel in the Bible very well and what had an impact on me was the scene when Daniel spoke to King Belshazzar about his lack of reverence for God. Although the exact words used in the film were not in the Bible, the sentiment of the condition of the king's heart, lines u with the description in the Bible. A very powerful scene and a wonderful movie that gives honour to the Word of God.

Daniel’s faith is inspirational and this film inspires us to go right to the source, the Bible and review the account of Daniel once more, who was pointing ahead, to the ultimate king, Jesus Christ.

I hope you will be able to find this film elsewhere or have access to PureFlix, as it is a gem!

Thank you for reading this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
