If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with a deeper reverence for the Lord.

This week’s review is for another short film by John Salonites, called The Secret.

There is no description for this film, but it’s only two minutes long.

Within just two minutes John Salonites manages to capture an importance message concerning the fallen human condition and the need of every human being, for the Saviour, Jesus Christ. Without Jesus, we are in a state of wretchedness. My Bible verse from today is from Proverbs 18:12, which says, before destruction a man’s heart is haughty, but humility comes before honor. I thought it fit very well, with the message in the short film.

We can exchange pride for humility and anguish for joy in the Lord. As the end of the film showed, the joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Faith enables us to appreciate the new start God gives us every single day, which reminds me of Lamentations 3:22-26

Because of the Lord’s great love we are not consumed, for his compassions never fail.23 They are new every morning; great is your faithfulness.

24 I say to myself, “The Lord is my portion; therefore I will wait for him.”

25 The Lord is good to those whose hope is in him, to the one who seeks him;

26 it is good to wait quietly for the salvation of the Lord.

This two minute film could easily spark hours of discussion and many testimonies about the Lord’s faithfulness and our great hope in Jesus Christ and His soon return.

So if you have a few minutes to spare, watch, The Secret, by John Salonites, on his YouTube channel.

John references Mark 8:35-36 under the film on YouTube, with the words - Keep the faith

Thank you for reading this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
