Program Review: Life Explored - The Life-Giving God (Ep6)

If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath full of the desire to give your life to Jesus Christ.

This week’s review is for the series, Life Explored, which is a seven part series. This episode is called, The Life-Giving God.

Description

An exposé of the little gods that promise us so much happiness, yet deliver so little. As it explores the Bible story (creation, fall, redemption, new creation), Life Explored shows how our deepest desires for happiness can only be satisfied in one person, Jesus Christ. The best gift God can give us is himself.

This is the sixth episode in this series and it’s all about who or what we choose to worship. Who or what do we give power to control our lives?

This episode speaks of the little deaths we experience on this earth, when we live for things that are not God. Lifeless things that cannot offer us life, let alone eternal life in a perfect kingdom.

This episode explores who truly gives us life while we remain here on this earth and who saves us from the ultimate death - as in, who can give us eternal life, because He conquered death himself.

The only thing about this episode that struck a negative chord, is the notion that we are resurrected when we die. The Bible says we are resurrected when Jesus Christ returns, not before. The presenter does an excellent job at explaining the reliability of the Bible and the hope we have in Jesus Christ.

He mentioned a Bible verse that I got on my daily Bible app the other day. It’s absolutely beautiful!

For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worth comparing with the glory that is to be revealed to us. Romans 8:18.
