Hello everyone, if you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath with increased faith in what Jesus Christ can do, through you.
This week’s review is for the series, Jesus, the Game Changer This episode is called, Forgiveness
Jesus, the Game Changer is a 10 part documentary series (with 4 bonus episodes) on how the life and teaching of Jesus changed the world and why it matters. The presenter, travels to the US, UK, Australia, Singapore and India interviewing over 30 authors, speakers and modern-day game changers. This series covers topics like equality, forgiveness, leadership, women and children, care and more.
I enjoyed the last series, Towards Belief, so much that I looked up the ministry, Olive Tree Media, and subscribed to their content channel. That’s where I found this 10 part series, Jesus, the Game Changer.
This episode points to the core of Jesus’ teaching and sacrifice, which enables us to be reconciled with God the Father. There are powerful testimonies from people who were badly hurt and looked to God to help them forgive the people who hurt them.
This episode reminds us of the powerful message of forgiveness throughout scripture. Here are a few of the references:-
Colossians 3:13 - bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive.
Matthew 18:21-22: Then Peter came up and said to him, “Lord, how often will my brother sin against me, and I forgive him? As many as seven times?” 22 Jesus said to him, “I do not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times.
1 John 4:4 Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.
1 John 1:9 - If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.
This episode does not sugar-coat it - sincere forgiveness is a hard process. That’s why we need God’s grace to help us to do it, over and over again.
There is a powerful message at the end of this episode, by someone I recognized from another ministry that I have as a source for my podcast and blog. The message is clear, biblical and life-changing, if taken to heart.
I watched, Jesus the Game Changer, episode three, Forgiveness, in the watch+ section of www.olivetreemedia.com.au
Thank you for reading this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
