Review: Soul (Christianity Explored)

If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with the knowledge that Jesus is the revelation of God.

This week’s review is for a video called, Soul.

Soul asks questions such as:

What is the main focus of Christianity?

Who is Jesus?

Why did Jesus come?

What is the significance of the cross?

Did Jesus really die?

Did Jesus really rise from the dead?

I really liked the way this seven-stage journey was presented. It was simple, yet effects were used in the right context.

The presenter was to the point, yet encouraged reflection on the listener’s part.

Reflection questions were asked along the way and the content was backed by scripture from the Gospel of Mark, which was good timing for me, as I am reading the Gospel of Mark in my own Bible studies and watching Drive Thru History Adventures’ module of Mark.

There was a point where hell was mentioned and the point seemed to be that it was eternal punishment. I still have not concluded whether the Bible teaches this, as there are passages that imply those who die in disbelief will be nothing but ashes,. With that said, if we cling to Jesus, we won’t have to focus on what hell is.

Soul had many good things to say and it was presented in a clear, compelling way. I look forward to watching other resources by the Christianity Explored ministry.
