Review: Towards Belief (The Bible)

Hello everyone, if you are reading to this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled the comfort that God loves you with an immeasurable love.

This week’s review is for the series, Towards Belief. This episode is called The Bible.

Towards Belief is a 10 episode series addressing the top belief blockers of our time – the most frequently cited reasons that many have lost confidence in the Church and its message.

This episode gave solid reasons why the Bible can be trusted. For me personally, faith and my relationship with Jesus is enough to believe. However, for those interested in historical evidence, there are many people that speak on that subject.

I found it so moving when they interviewed people who said they didn’t believe in the Bible or that it was only partly true. I was shocked and yet, I was one of those people at some point in my life. I was convinced that the Bible was not true because it was written by man, however, my opinion was not based on ever reading the Bible in its entirety. If I had, then the Bible would have revealed to me that it was God who spoke through man to write it - not man’s wisdom.

This episode has valuable insight about the Bible and makes me very thankful God led me to start reading it in 2015. I am reminded of the verses from 2 Timothy 3:16-17: All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, 17 that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work.
