If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with the grace of God to withstand the trials you face.

This week’s review is for episode four of a 10-part series called, Worship Factor.

Description

Join us for a heartwarming exploration of family worship with Ari-Pekka Niemelä from Espoo, Finland, in our enriching fourth episode, "Family Worship." Ari-Pekka and his wife, Erika, share their journey of practical worship-building within their household, impacting not only their own spiritual lives but also those of their three children.

This episode shows us the glory in worship and the precious family unit God ordained.

It took years of prayer for Ari Pekka’s wish for a continuation of worship through song, to be fulfilled. It’s inspiring to hear about his journey in his prayer life and see the blessing he and his family have received.

I really like how Ari Pekka emphasised how important it is to have experience of God, but also to know God through His word. He also talks about humility, forgiveness and repentance being important for the entire household and how important it is for parents to tell their children that God sees parents and their children as His children, although there are different roles. I appreciated his focus on humility for both children and parents before each other and God.

I really appreciated getting a glimpse of family worship and what a blessing it is when an entire family designates time during the day to worship together.

I pray God continues to bless this family abundantly and continues to give Ari Pekka strength and wisdom to guide his family.

Several scripture verses were mentioned throughout this episode

Joshua 24:!5

But as for me and my household, we will serve the Lord.

Deuteronomy 6:5-7

Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength. 6 These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. 7 Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.

John 4:23

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in the Spirit and in truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks.

Ari Pekka mentioned at the end something I constantly think about - the new heaven and earth. What a day that will be when the trumpets sound and Jesus Christ returns to collect all those who are written in the Book of Life! Revelation 22:20-21 says, He who testifies to these things says, “Yes, I am coming soon.” Amen. Come, Lord Jesus. 21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with God’s people. Amen.

Thank you for reading this review. Until next time - peace be with you.
