If you are reading this review on the Sabbath, then I would like to wish you a Sabbath filled with songs of praise for the LORD.
This week’s review is for part eight of Worship Factor
Description
Step into the life and music of Canadian worship leader Fiona Chow. Fiona shares her insights on worship, exploring themes of holiness and priesthood, and take us behind the scenes with her choir, Kingdom Singers. In this powerful episode, Fiona discusses the differences between the western world and the church in China, offering valuable insights we can learn from.
This episode was a joy to watch. Fiona’s insights about who we are, based on the Bible, reminds us that God defines who we are, not those around us. Fiona references 1 Peter 2:9 - the powerful verse that tells us how God sees those He has called.
I really appreciated her insight on how worship services should include everyone, not just the worship team, preacher, etc. as is stated in 1 Corinthians 14:26
What then shall we say, brothers and sisters? When you come together, each of you has a hymn, or a word of instruction, a revelation, a tongue or an interpretation. Everything must be done so that the church may be built up.
This touched on a very important point of how church meetings should be organized.
Tommy Colin and Fiona exchange various powerful verses from scripture, that have also been a strength and comfort for me. Here are a few of those verses: Revelation 15:3-4, Zephaniah 3:17 and Proverbs 3:5-6.
The music from Fiona’s choir, Kingdom Singers, was a blessing and so was Fiona’s testimony on how she experienced house churches in China, so I encourage you to watch this episode.
